How to link Steam and Android accounts?

How can I link my Google Play account with Steam to preserve progress on mobile, specifically in The Elder Scrolls: Legends?

I found account linking. When you go to bathesda.net -> login -> your photo -> Linked Accounts. There is Steam option, but no Google Play option.

It is currently not possible to use Google Play account to sync progress between android and desktop.

By using the same Bethesda account on both devices.

Hmm.. I used to play the same account from my android on steam then some update awhile go made it so we couldnt anymore, I dont really know but I do know that at one time I was playing with my actual account then suddenly I had to start over, and that was just logging in as usual one day, about a year or more ago.
